About

Who Route4Green is

Route4Green is the fleet-wide route optimisation product of SmartWay Informatics JSC, delivered as an API. The same core runs inside SmartWay TMS.

What we do

Route4Green assigns orders across the whole fleet first, then sequences the stops for each vehicle. Each run takes up to 300 orders, for one date and one transport mode.

Origin

Route4Green comes from SmartWay, founded in Bonn, Germany, by scientists in mathematics and logistics. The route optimisation core grew out of that applied mathematics work.

  1. Shippers in Vietnam need transport data per shipment, listed businesses must run greenhouse gas inventories, and the domestic carbon market is in its pilot phase. Most of these demands reach the carrier through its customers.
  2. We plan so the same cargo needs fewer trips and kilometres, and record trips, distance and cargo per route consistently: the data every later calculation rests on.
  3. We do not run or advise on emissions inventories; we plan, measure operations and publish the method.

How we approach "green"

  1. The name is a discipline, not a slogan. Fewer trips and kilometres per tonne of cargo are measures you can check yourself, not a claim to take on faith.

  2. An emissions figure needs scope, method and a sourced conversion factor before it is worth publishing. We publish none today.

  3. Our articles on greenhouse gas inventories, CBAM and the EU rules on environmental claims explain them from official sources; they are not product features.
